So Phantom of the Opera ROCKED!!!!!!!!!!!!! The Christine they had was a little weak but the other two maim characters(Raoul and the Phantom) were FANTASTIC!!! the Phantom's voice was sooooooooooooo smooooooooooooooth!! Very long line for the bathroom though. but I didn't miss anything - I didn't buy anything either, they had some cute shirts but I'm NOT spending 25/35 dollars for a T-Shirt that has a mask with Phantom of the Opera written underneath it. Merrrr.
The house is coming along nicely - we have some pictures to hang up but it's arranged in a very pleasing manner to us now. The allergy season is flaring up on me and I don't get a whole lot of relief at home because we have birds now... I don't like feathers. grrrrrrr
Let see what else.... Oh this past Thursday I took my cousin Marie and her friend Lizzie to a free movie "Wallace and Gromit: The Curse of the Were-Rabbit" and then we went to lunch at Culvers - very nice place good food - I'd rather have crunchyer fries but such is life. Then we went rollar skating at Great Skate for the open skate for about 3 hours. I couldn't skate because I hurt my knee.
So here's the whole sob story: The previous Thursday I had taken her to Six Flags I think my shoes were bad or I just walked around too much because my knee hurt a little bit on Friday but no biggie. Then on Sat it hurt more but I thought that was from the humidity - it was supposed to storm. Then on Sun it still hurt but not as much. Then on Monday it still kinda hurt but by now I'm used to it but I thought I shouldn't go to Theriputic Horsemanship becasue all the walking wouldn't be good but I thought the exercise might, so I went and we went on three trail rides which is worse than trotting because there are hills - stupid hills. So on Tuesday I could barely walk!!!!!!!!!! and I told my chiropractor and he told me to come back on Wed. to see the other Dr. in the office for a consult type of thing. So on Wed I went in and he exercised it and gave it some kind of massage therapy - hot doc touching my leg, yes please (calm down he is totally professional - but I can dream!) and that night if I had seen him I would have decked him! I was in agonizing pain - worse than on Tuesday when I could barely walk. Now my knees usually hurt but this time they hurt so much I was sobbing (part of that was due to my dog - explination later in blog) and it really worried my parents. Now on Tuesday I thought I would just pick up a letter of recommendation for an Orthopedic doctor - expensive but part of our Health Insurance plan so maybe not too bad, but my Chiro wanted to try this instead which I agreed to because it was going to be less expensive. So on Thursday I could walk with less pain but I still wasn't close to 50% so I went back that night and he did it again. So on Friday it felt better - probably about 80% and today it feels about 90% better. So I'll go back again on Monday for him to do it again and maybe it will be 100% better, but I doubt it because I'll be going back to TH (the horse thing) on Monday night.... we'll see.
So my dog (this is turning into a really long blog....) is old and starting to get real sickly. She was pacing around for two nights straight and whining so my Mom took her to the vet and they x-rayed her and found out that her stomache is full of tumors as well as a tumor(not sure if it is cancerous or not) mass growing next to her heart, her heart is enlarged, she has arthritis in her back and her kidney's are starting to fail. (She was very healthy for most of her life) So we talked and we didn't want her to suffer so we decided to have her put down . So my mom was going to do it on Thursday and I wouldn't be able to be there because I had to babysit my cousin. So I'm all depressed on Thrusday, and that night my mom calls and lets me know that she couldn't do it. Tinkerbell is still happy to see everybody and still wagging her tail and despite her arthritis she still jumps up onto the couch, and she is eating just fine despite the tumors in her stomache. So the vet talked her out of it plus she wasn't ready anyway - so now I'm happy that I still have my dog but sad because .... she is going to start suffering more which I don't want. Surgery is out of the question 1. she is too old, 2. the vet told her that if Tink had been human and they operated and saw all the tumors in her stomache - they would have closed her back up without doing anything. So *sigh* we have her for a little while longer.
Let's see what else can I babble on about... yesterday I saw Shakespere in the Park - Julius Ceaser - very good. I had never seen it before and was suprised by the ending but then I thought "It is supposed to be a tragedy..." and the second half is soo "gay". I know that sounds very sterotypical but seriously if you see/read the second half the guys turn gay it's strange... but still good.
and now my wrists hurt and I think this was my longest blurb ever! but I have a lot stored up during a week sometimes - no update next week as I will be going to Chicago to see the King Tut exhibit!!!!! YEAH!!! so we'll see when we'll be updating again - and yes that is the royal "we" as I am the "princess". teehee
